Day 1

Arrive Sandakan Airport by morning flight, transfer to jetty for 1-hour boat ride to Selingan Island. Check into chalet. Free at leisure to explore island, swim and snorkel. After dinner, wait for signal from the Park Ranger before proceeding in small groups to watch Green Turtles laying eggs on the beach, transplanting of eggs to hatchery and release of baby turtles to the sea. This island is a park conservation area since 1977 and turtles come ashore to lay their eggs every night throughout the year.  Overnight twin-share room. (L/D)

Day 2

Return to Sandakan by boat and proceed to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Walk ten minutes through the rainforest on wooden boardwalks to witness the feeding of the orang utans at 1000hrs. Watch short video show of the rehabilitation process. After lunch we proceed to the Sandakan Australian War Memorial before we proceed to the airport for transfer out. For those on last flight in late afternoon, we proceed to the Rainforest Discovery Centre or RDC. Take a birds eye view of the centre from the canopy walk and hanging bridge before exploring the botanical garden, home to various species of flora before transfer to airport for last flight back to Kota Kinabalu.  (B/L)
