Day 1

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet and greet. Pick up from the hotel for a land transfer to Batang Ai jetty. The journey takes approximately 5 hours and includes a few stops. First stop will be at Serian Town. The native market is the highlight of the town. Join your guide to explore the market in order to know the items that are sold here (herbs, vegetables, fruits). Continue the journey for the next stop at Lachau Town for lunch. Continue the drive to the jetty for longboat pick up to Jelia River. The destination of the day is Dampa Jelia Jungle Camp. Take 1 hour walk along Jelia River to the jungle camp. Dinner and overnight at the jungle camp. ( L/D)

Day 2

Breakfast at the camp. Take one of the trails in order to search for the wildlife. Orang Utan is the highlight of the expedition. Jelia is a popular area as a home of the Orang Utan and it is just next to the Batang Ai National Park whereby the gazetting of the area is to conserve the Orang Utan. If the luck is on your side, you may encounter other animals such as gibbon, macaque and deer. Different species of birds also could be spotted such Asian Paradise Flycatcher, Argus Pheasant, and Black Hornbill. The camp site is just on the riverbank, you may dip yourself in the river or take a swim at waterfall. Have a taste of the local BBQ/Bamboo cooking for your lunch after the trek. Day 3

Breakfast at the camp. Take an hour’s walk down Jelia River for a longboat transfer to Batang Ai Jetty. Continue by land transfer back to Kuching. Lunch en-route. Drop off at the hotel. (B/L)
